Relationship Management: Extensive network of Japanese contacts in business, academic, government and athletic communities, developed through extended travel, living and business experience in Japan and significant participation in Canada-Japan organizations including, Canada-Japan Societies (in both Tokyo and Vancouver), Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan and Canada Japan Businessmen's Conference.

Catalyst: Strategic advisor to two major Japanese corporations with respect to their joint interest in determining the feasibility of establishing a major petrochemical manufacturing facility in Western Canada, including acting as liaison in discussions with local solicitors and senior provincial and federal officials.

Business Facilitation: Directed and executed an investment promotion program in Tokyo for provincial and federal governments, resulting in the successful facilitation of more than $2.5 billion of direct investment in British Columbia and Canada over the course of successive three- and four-year secondment contracts.
